On Saturday September 9, 2023 our precious Ava Kate (Cake) Barsoum was taken to be with Jesus. Ava was born on January 14th, 2021 to Samer and Jennifer Pittman Barsoum of Agoura Hills, CA. She was a beautiful, spunky, bundle of joy. Mommie’s baby girl and Daddy’s little Angel. She loved singing and dancing, and made sure she always said the blessing first before every meal. Ava adored her two older brothers George and Asher, and they thought she hung the moon. She affectionately referred to them as the “boys” whenever she needed something. Ava’s smile and infectious personality rubbed off on all whose path she crossed. She was a bundle of joy and love to be with.
Ava is survived by her loving parents, Samer and Jennifer Pittman Barsoum, and her big brothers, George and Asher Barsoum, all residing in Agoura Hills, CA. She is survived by her paternal grandmother, Sahar Barsoum of Calabasas, CA, Ava held a special place in her heart. Additionally, she leaves behind her Aunt Miriam Robb and cousin Malaika of Orange County, CA.
On her maternal side, Ava is survived by her grandparents Mike & DiAnne Link (who called her princess) and Philip & Presley Pittman of Vidalia, GA, all who adored her beyond measure. She will be remembered fondly by her uncles Heath and Nathan & Valerie Pittman, Barrett, Brannon, and Briar Pittman, and Jason & Michele Link, as well as her aunts Megan & Ben Nash and Teri & Chad Nolter. Ava leaves behind 16 first cousins and a multitude of other relatives, all of whom loved her dearly. Including 4 great grandparents.
Services to celebrate Ava's life will be held in her honor, Monday September 25 at 10:00 am at Westlake Community Church (Westlake, CA) allowing family and friends to come together to remember the bright light that she was in our lives. Burial will follow at 1:00 pm at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park (Westlake, CA). Services will be live streamed.
