Mrs. Thelma Beasley, age 77, of Uvalda, died Monday evening, May 29, 2023, at home after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Community Hospice. She was born in Manatee, Florida and lived in Toombs County since 1986. She was of the Baptist faith and in her spare time she loved crossword puzzles, birds, tending to her dog, and she especially loved spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Thelma was very outspoken and was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband of forty-six years, Bill Beasley; parents, Charles Franklin O’Neal and Eva Jane Morris O’Neal; and several siblings.
Her family includes four children, Billie Beasley of Lyons, Wanda Williams and husband Mark of Pinellas Park, Florida, Bill Beasley, Jr. of Yulee, Florida, and Angie Saggus and husband Scott of Collins; one sister, Melba Pannone of Palmetto, Florida; seven grandchildren, Zachary Kane and wife Lalacia, Sarah Clevenger and husband Matt, Madison Evans, Hannah Horton and husband Chris, Hailey Duke and husband Clay, Will Beasley, and Emiley Saggus; five great-grandchildren, Cameron, Hailey, Myla, Rae, and Tessley; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The graveside funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 3rd at South Thompson Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery one hour prior to the service.
