Last Thursday at Vidalia High School four student athletes signed letters of content for scholarships to continue their education and athletic careers. Congratulations to seniors Brandon Beasley (Top) and Jamari Jermon (Above) who are headed to Truett McConnell University in Cleveland, Ga. Both were standouts on the VHS Track & Field teams. Beasley is a two-time Region Champion in both the Long Jump and Triple Jump. A two-time Sectional winner in the Triple Jump. He has a State Championship in the 4x200 relay and part of the team that holds the school record.

Jamari placed second in the Triple Jump, sixth in the Long Jump, and third in the High Jump this year at the Region Meet. In the Sectionals he placed fourth in the Triple Jump and fifth at  the State Championship Meet.

Congratulations to Kaleb Bennett (Top) and Ayden Marin-Clark (Above) who are headed to Brewton-Parker College in Mt. Vernon. Bennett was a member of the VHS Baseball team and will now play for the Barons. He was the leading hitter on the State Championship team last year with a .395 average and a First Team All-Region selection as a Designated Hitter and this year a Second-Team Outfielder.

Ayden (Cali) will join the Barons Track & Field team. He was a two-year member of the VHS Track & Field team as a thrower of the Discus and Shot Put. He placed third in the Region in Discus and had a fifth place finish in the Shot Put. He was a three-year member of the VHS Indian Football team.
