The Vidalia Indians travelled to Tattnall County on Thursday night March 23 for Game 2 of their three game region series with the Warriors.  The Indians did not play their best but they were able to outlast the Warriors taking a 10-8 win.  The Indians now sport a 10-7-1 record with a 4-1 region record.  The two teams will play game three Friday night at Greg James Field.

Walker Moncus started on the mound for the Indians and pitched three innings.  He allowed five runs on four hits, three walks and struck out four.  Tucker McDonald came on in relief to pitch the final four innings and pick up the win.  He allowed three runs on four hits while striking out five.

The offense was led by Kaleb Bennett who was 2-2 with two RBI's; Moncus was 2-3 with two runs scored and two RBI's; Cason Banks was 2-3 with two doubles two runs scored and one RBI; Lawson Lowe was 2-3 while scoring one run; Andrew Norfleet was 1-1 scored a run and got one RBI.

The Indians jumped on top in the 1st inning as Banks got a one out double and scored on a Moncus single up the middle.  Moncus moved to second on a wild pitch and Bennett walked.  Both runners moved up on another wild pitch which then allowed Moncus to score on a ground ball out by Whited putting the Indians up 2-0.  However, the Warriors used two walks, a single and fielders choice to get one run back making it a 2-1 game after one complete.

In the top of the 2nd inning the Indians loaded the bases with two outs but couldn't score.  In the bottom half the Warriors first three batters struck out but one of them reached first as the third strike was in the dirt and got away from the catcher.  The runner was able to move to second on an errant pick off play and scored on a single to left to tie it up at 2-2 after two complete.

The Indians didn't score in the top of the 3rd inning as they went 3 up 3 down for the only time in the game.  However, the Warriors were able to take advantage of a walk, a hit and a couple of two out errors to plate three runs and take a 5-2 lead after three complete.

The Indians were able to plate three runs in the top of the 4th inning.  Morgan Moye walked to lead off the inning and moved to 2nd on a wild pitch and was able to score when Carson Ricks reached on an error.  Banks doubled in Ricks and Moncus singled to drive in Banks.  When McDonald got the Warriors 1-2-3 in the bottom half that left the game tied at 5-5 after four complete.

Neither team was able to score in the 5th inning.  McDonald led off the 6th inning by reaching second on a throwing error and moved to 3rd base on a sacrifice bunt by Banks and then scored on a sacrifice fly by Bennett.  When the Warriors didn't score in the bottom half the Indians had the lead back at 6-5.

In the top of the 7th inning the Indians plated four more runs as Moye was hit by a pitch, Lowe and Norfleet singled, McDonald was hit by a pitch, Banks reached on an error, Moncus walked and Bennett got another sacrifice fly to make it 10-5 going to the bottom half.  The Warriors didn't go quietly as they used three hits and an error to score three runs with only one out.  McDonald settle down and picked up the next two outs to secure the 10-8 victory.
