Robert Toombs Christian Academy's soccer teams have become a family affair. One of the many benefits of attending a school where K3-12th grades are all in one location is that your children get to participate in many activities together. Head Soccer Coach, Matt Meeks, said, "as a parent it is one of my favorite things to watch my boys enjoy doing what they love side by side.β
The Crusaders are fortunate to have 3 soccer teams this year, Varsity Boys, Varsity Girls, and Middle School Girls. RTCA has 11 siblings on those teams this season. For four of these families, Tuesday March 21st, was the last time their children got to play on the same day as they have seniors graduating this year. Senior parent Jennifer Wolfe, mother of 3 daughters, had this to say, βItβs pure joy to see them out there together. It is something I look forward to every game day. They share such a special bond on and off the field that really shows in soccer. What a blessing that all three of them have a love for sports and enjoy being teammates.β
The Crusaders did not find victory on the pitch yesterday falling short to Trinity Christian out of Dublin, GA. However, the loss will not be the memory that these families hold onto. The bonds of family and friendship are much stronger than the sting of a loss. (Courtesy of RTCA)
