Betty Jenkins Fulton, 71, of Alamo, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Community Hospice in Vidalia, GA. She was born July 30, 1951, to the late Morris and Jeanette Simpson Jenkins. Mrs. Fulton was a graduate of Wheeler County High School, Tift College, and Georgia Southern University. She was a dedicated high school teacher for over 29 years, a member of the Alamo United Methodist Church, and enjoyed music, reading literature, and all things Shakespeare. Her contagious joy, smile, and enthusiasm for life will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Fulton is survived by her husband: Mark Fulton of Alamo; son Chris Seabolt (Penny) of Vidalia; daughter: Chelli Thompson (Shannon) of Hazlehurst; brother: C.M. Jenkins (Pam) of Douglas; and grandchildren: Callie Lambert, Presley Adams, Peyton Adams, C.J. Seabolt, and Jack Thompson.
The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening, December 6, 2022, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Towns Funeral Home. A memorial service honoring Mrs. Fulton will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Alamo United Methodist Church.
