Vidalia police are investigating an early morning shooting that occurred last Saturday.

Police report that at approximately 2:19 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of Nita Drive in reference to a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Cody Lee Faircloth, age 22 of Vidalia, suffering from a gunshot wound to the face.

He was transported by ambulance to Memorial Health Meadows Hospital and later transferred to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.
