Mrs. Wanda Faye Glisson, age 62, died Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after a sudden illness.  She was a native and grew up in Jeff Davis County, briefly lived in Toombs County, and lived in Montgomery County most of her life.  She worked for Ero Manufacturing in Hazlehurst, Hazlehurst Mills and more recently as a home health nurse with Nurses Plus.  She attended Lott’s Creek Church of God.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, spending time with her family and fishing at Altamaha River, Lake Sinclair and the coast.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Losey Bohannon and Pearlie Merritt Bohannon; son-in-law, Johnny Osborne, Jr.; and four siblings, Larry, Jennifer, Tiny and Suzie.

Her family includes her husband of forty-seven years, Charlie Glisson, Sr. of Lazy River Community; three children, Charlie Glisson, Jr. and Amanda Whisnant of Lazy River, Amy Glisson and Brandon Bush of Lothair, and Mendy Glisson Osborne of Ailey; eleven grandchildren, Kanen, Landon, Zachary, Carley, Owen, Jaxson, Emory, Albree, Kenzie, Macy and Arianna; one great-grandchild, Brinleigh; three sisters, Barbara Salinas of Lumber City, Peggy Glisson and husband Joe of Lazy River and Tammy Brewer and husband Lonnie of Hazlehurst; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

The funeral service will be Saturday afternoon, December 3rd, at 2:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Mr. Ken Garrett officiating.  Burial will follow at Smyrna Church Cemetery.
