MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – Brewton-Parker Men’s Soccer student-athlete Jacob Shield has been named as one of the honorees on the 2022 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Men’s Soccer Team, the national organization announced on Tuesday.
The honor is a career-first for Shield and the first honoree for the men’s soccer program.
At the time of submission, Shield held a 3.56 GPA. He is currently studying Criminal Justice and Psychology. He has been a two-year captain for the Barons and a three-time SSAC Academic All-Conference honoree.
For the last two seasons, Shield has been a mainstay in the Brewton-Parker midfield due to his experience and leadership on the field. He has produced some offensively, scoring four goals and notching two assists over the past two seasons played.

The All-District Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA — for each gender.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December. (Courtesy of BPC)
