Mrs. Laura Kay Odom Milligan, age 82, of Nolensville, Tennessee, died Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, Tennessee after an extended illness. She was a native of Toombs County and a 1957 graduate of Vidalia High School. She married her late husband and they lived in Jacksonville, Florida for thirty-two years before moving to Nolensville in 2012. She was a homemaker and an active member of Fort Caroline Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida, where she served as church secretary for several years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Milligan; parents, T.E. Odom and Lillie Criswell Odom; four siblings, Neron Odom, Thomas Odom, Joyce Harbin and James Odom.
Her family includes two daughters, Vicki Volkman and Donna Watkins and husband Ken, all of Nolensville, Tennessee; her three “heartbeats”, her grandchildren, Christopher Watkins and wife Hannah of Mustang, Oklahoma, Rachel Volkman and Adam Volkman, both of Franklin, Tennessee; and one great-grandson, Casey Watkins.
The graveside funeral service will be Tuesday morning, August 16th, at 11:00 at Pinecrest Cemetery with Christopher Watkins officiating.
