Louise Widener Turner, age 62, of Glenwood, died Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after a sudden illness. She was a native of Dodge County and had lived in Glenwood since 1973. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Vernon Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, flowers, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, William McKinley Widener and Helen Brack Widener; seven brothers and four sisters.
Her family includes her husband, Jerry Turner; four children, Ken Turner and wife Jody, Keith “Bojo” Turner and wife Samantha, all of Glenwood, Corey Turner and wife Jessy of Mt. Vernon and Dustin Turner and fiancée Jennifer West of Glenwood; one special son, Tony Bynum of Hazlehurst; six grandchildren, Ethan Turner, Tyler Turner, Jeremy Turner, Kaden Turner, Ryland Turner, Annsleigh Turner, and a grandchild to be born soon, Raelynn Turner; one great-grandchild, Bryer Turner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Saturday afternoon, July 9th, at 3:00, at Mt. Vernon Pentecostal Church with Pastor Ray Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood City Cemetery with Reverend Matt Lamb officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
