Kirsten Davis

It’s been 31 years since Kirsten Davis was found murdered in Toombs County, but the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Toombs County Sheriff’s Office haven’t given up on finding and prosecuting her murderer.

On July 3, 1991, Davis was traveling on Highway 297 near the Emanuel County line when she was shot and killed. The Boulder, Colorado, resident had just completed her studies at Berry College in Rome, and was enroute to visit a friend in Vidalia. Her 1985 Blue Subaru station wagon was found overturned in a ditch by passersby and her body was discovered not far away with shotgun wounds to her face and neck.

A reward of $10,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest in this case. Anyone who may have information is asked to contact the Toombs County Sheriff’s Office at 912-526-6778 or the GBI Eastman Office at 478-374-6988.
