Mrs. Kathy Carroll Wesberry Young, age 77, of the McNatt Falls Community, died Friday, June 24, 2022, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after an extended illness.  She was born in Orange County, Florida, grew up in the Johnson Corner Community, and lived in Toombs County most of her life.  She worked at Lyons Manufacturing for many years and later with Savannah Luggage Works.  She was Baptist by faith, and she enjoyed sewing, quilting blankets, and dancing in her earlier years.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Young; daughter, Teresa Wesberry Johnson; parents, Johnnie Lee Carroll and Ella Mae McRae Carroll; and three siblings, James Odom, Carolyn Baker, and Tom McRae.

Her family includes three children, Mary Youmans and husband Wayne of Lyons, Carol Horne and husband James of Reidsville, and John Wesberry and wife Rhonda of Anderson South Carolina; son-in-law, Charnic “Bear” Johnson of McGregor Community; one brother, Johnny Carroll of Pooler; twelve grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be Monday, June 27th, at 11:00 a.m. at Ohoopee Community Cemetery with Dwayne Beasley officiating.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
