MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Brewton-Parker Softball student-athlete MacKenzie Tripp has been named to the Southern States Athletic Conference Softball Scholar-Athlete Team presented by Barnes & Noble College, conference officials announced on Friday.

Tripp is listed along with nine other student-athletes from across the conference who earned the honor.

The junior from Monticello, Ga. earned the honor with a 3.88 GPA at the time of submission and was also listed as a member of the All-Academic Team earlier this season.

To be eligible, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in both academic and athletic standing, must be starters or important reserves, have at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA, and have competed in 50% of competitions. Graduate students are not eligible, and transfers must have completed one semester at the school.(Courtesy of BPC)
