MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Brewton-Parker Men’s Track and Field student-athlete Simon Steele has been named to the Southern States Athlete Conference Men’s Track and Field Scholar-Athlete Team presented by Barnes & Noble College, conference officials announced on Monday.

Steele is listed along with seven other student-athletes from across the conference who earned the honor.

The junior from Hinesville, Ga. earned the honor with a 3.68 GPA at the time of submission and was also a member of the All-Academic Team earlier this season.

To be eligible, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in both academic and athletic standing, must be starters or important reserves, have at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA, and have competed in 50% of competitions. Graduate students are not eligible, and transfers must have completed one semester at the school.(Courtesy of BPC)
