Mrs. Anita Gloria Bush, age 90, died Sunday, January 16, 2022, after an extended illness. She was a native of Biloxi, Mississippi and met her future husband, Wiley A. Bush, Jr., at Keesler Air Force Base while working there. After marrying an Air Force man, they moved many times and she enjoyed the variety that life offered. They lived in Texas, South Carolina, Louisiana, Germany, Florida and retired to Georgia. She worked in Vidalia for the Green Stamp Store and Belk Matthews. Mrs. Bush and her husband were members of Tabernacle Baptist Church where they worked on various committees while active in the church. After retirement, she and her husband Wiley became Georgia Power park hosts at camps along Lake Oconee shores. They enjoyed traveling in their RV and she enjoyed crocheting. Mrs. Bush is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-seven years, Wiley Austin Bush, Jr.; her parents, Ramon Gonzalez and Florence Ethel Jackson Gonzalez; and three sisters, Aurora Maxine Gonzalez, Anna Eve Soldo and Ramona Hill.
She is survived by her children, Michael Bush (Pamela) of Hephzibah and Steven Bush of Vidalia; four grandchildren, Jennifer Bush McDonald (Robert) of Evans, Christopher Bush (Amy) of Appling, Michelle Bush Smith (James) of Indian Land, South Carolina, and Megan Bush Short (Shane) of Fortson; ten great-grandchildren and another on the way due on her birthday in April; several nieces and nephews in Louisiana, Illinois, California and Florida.
The funeral service will be Saturday morning, January 22nd at 11:00 in the chapel of the Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Randy McDuffie officiating. Burial will follow in Graniteville Cemetery in Graniteville, South Carolina at 3:00 p.m. with Mr. Chris Bush officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. until just prior to the service.
