Mr. Frank Toler, age 86, of Lyons, died Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness. He was born in Hart County, GA, and as a child moved to Treutlen County where he lived before moving to Lyons in 1977. He was a retired mechanic and welder, and worked with Stanley Farms and Herndon Farms many years. He was a member of the former Lyons Presbyterian Church; and he enjoyed fishing and gardening. He is preceded in death by his wife Geneva Green Silvers Toler; daughter, Joy Lynn Toler; two grandchildren, Dana Darden and Dawn Darden; parents, William Toler and Willie Ann Hutcheson; four sisters, Jeanette Pervatt, Lugenia Beasley, Willie Mae Toler, and Tinnie Weeks; and five brothers, C.J. Toler, Lewis Toler, Bill Toler, Arthur Toler, and Bobby Toler.
His family includes five children, Kathy White of Soperton, Debra Ford, Terrie Darden, and Allen Toler, all of Vidalia, and Charles Toler of Eustis, Florida; three stepchildren, Carrie Yawn of Hazlehurst, Maxine Silvers and Donnie Silvers, both of Lyons; three sisters, Sarah Bickel of Little Rock, Arkansas, Florence Ann Davis of Jesup, and Reba Graham of Soperton; one brother, Robbie Toler of Soperton; fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, January 18th, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Albert White and Pastor Danny Zorn officiating. Burial will follow in Lyons City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 and will assemble at the residence of a daughter, Debra Ford, 164 Jane Drive, Vidalia.
