1 17 22 BPC Womens Wrestling

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The No. 20-ranked Brewton-Parker Women's Wrestling program competed against Mid-South Conference foe Campbellsville on the road on Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Barons (6-5, 0-1 MSC) were defeated by the No. 1-ranked Tigers (11-1, 1-0 MSC) 30-3.

Saturday afternoon's dual against the top-ranked Campbellsville squad began with double-forfeits at the 101 and 109 weight classes. In the 116 bout, Hayden Varner was taken down via fall (4:09) by Katelin Barnett to give the Tigers a 5-0 lead.

At 123, Geneva Winston downed Anna Rusth with a 6-6 decision to move the score to 5-3 in favor of the Tigers. Taylor Howell defeated Sydney Allman at 130 with a fall (0:59) to lead 10-3.

During the 136-lb bout, Kamryn Ellis was knocked by Angel Vitiritti with a 15-0 tech fall to give Campbellsville four additional points. Emma Walker followed in the 143 bout, defeating Mel Mercado via fall (0:31) for five points.

Sierra Hartfelder was downed by Kenya Sloan in the 155-lb bout via fall (0:49) before the 170-lb class was given to Campbellsville via forfeit. The 191-lb bout declared a double forfeit to end the dual at 30-3 in favor of the Tigers.
