Mrs. Betsy Osborne Mallard, age 68 of Vidalia, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Community Hospice of Vidalia following an extended illness.
She was born on May 25, 1953 in Oak Park to the late Cephus and Pearl Lee Faircloth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cedric Mallard.
Mrs. Mallard is survived by two sons, Johnny (Denise) Osborne of Oak Park, and Bruce (Misty) Osborne of Vidalia; two daughters, Kelby Mallard and Myla Mallard of Vidalia; one step-son, James (Keisha) Mallard of Uvalda; one brother, David Wayne (Faith) Faircloth of Soperton; one sister, Joann (Jerry) Kirkland; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a very special friend, Joan Raby.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 1, 2022 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at
Roberts – Stewart Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Roberts – Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Henry Lamb to officiate. Graveside service and interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shan McCrae, James Faircloth, Wayne Faircloth, Dewayne Chavis, Chuck Snelling, and Frankie Badget. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chance Osborne and Justin Hayes.
