The Vidalia Police Department is asking for information on incidents that happened earlier this week.

Reportedly, around 9:43 p.m. Tuesday night, the Vidalia Police Department responded to the area of Northeast Main Street regarding a gunshot victim. Officers on the scene identified the victim as Kyjuan Phillips, age 20, of Vidalia. Phillips was transported by ambulance to Memorial Health Meadows Hospital.

Shortly after that incident with Phillips, officers were called to a location with two additional subjects suffering from gunshot wounds. Jourden Dasher, a 19-year-old female of Vidalia, and Joshua Bowens, also 19 of Vidalia, were transported to the local hospital.

All three individuals are listed in stable condition at this time.

Vidalia police are also investigating a shooting at a residence at 1505 Mount Vernon Road that occurred this week. In the very early hours of Wednesday morning, Lenworth Welsh and Jeffery Corbett were asleep in the residence when they heard multiple gun shots. Officers examined the home and found m ore than 20 entry damages that corresponded to the rifle rounds. Welsh nor Corbett were injured during the shooting.

Anyone with information on any of these shootings or any other criminal activity in the City of Vidalia is asked to contact the Investigative Services Division of the Vidalia Police Department at 92-537-4123.

And the Lyons Police Department is investigating another call of a bomb threat. According to sources, early Wednesday morning a call was received that an explosive was set to detonate at a convenience store. Police aren’t divulging many details, but as a precaution, taking the threat seriously. This is the second threat of a bomb in as many weeks with the other call causing an evacuation of the Toombs County Courthouse in Lyons. Anyone with information on these cases is asked to contact the Toombs County Sheriff’s Office at 912-526-6778 or the Lyons Police Department at 912-526-3638.
