BPC W vs William Carey

The Brewton-Parker Lady Barons basketball program opened Southern States Athletic Conference play on Thursday night with a matchup against William Carey (Miss.).

The Lady Barons (5-1, 1-0 SSAC) downed the Crusaders (2-1, 0-1 SSAC) 73-64 to begin conference play with a win.

Head Coach Steve Edwards shared his thoughts after the game. "It's always tough to win games in our conference," Edwards said. "William Carey is well-coached, and they play well together."

"We were able to make some big plays on both ends of the floor," Edwards mentioned. "We had a couple players come off the bench tonight that really stepped up big time. We will get back to work to prepare for Loyola on Saturday."
