MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the 2021 Volleyball Season Awards on Thursday night in Montgomery.

Ashley Arbogast and Taylor Scarbrough were recognized with Barnes & Noble College All-Academic Team honors with Scarbrough also earning recognition on the SSAC Champions of Character Team.

In order to earn All-Academic Team honors, student-athletes must be eligible varsity members that are in the third term of attendance or later. In addition, they must have earned a minimum of 24 credit hours and have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher.

For the Champions of Character Team, coaches nominate one student-athlete that has best represented their peers, program, and school with acts of sportsmanship as well as leadership regarding the NAIA's Five Core Values of the Champions of Character Initiative.
