The Vidalia Lady Indians are headed to the GHSA State Softball Championships in Columbus. Due to expected rain on Thursday morning, the GHSA has revised the Tournament schedule. The Lady Indians will now open play on Thursday at 4:00 P.M. when they take on the Bremen Blue Devils out of Region 5. The complete AA Bracket may be viewed HERE
The 2AA Champions are making their 4th trip in as many years and carry a record of 28-5 into the Championships. “We are excited about the opportunity to represent our school and community at the state softball tournament,” said Indian Head Coach Ben Beck. “The girls and the coaching staff have worked hard and are prepared for the next 3 days. We are going to approach it one game at a time and not let the moment get too big. Hopefully we can do the little things it takes to play our best and have the outcome come out in our favor.” Beck added.
Fans planning to go to Columbus must purchase their tickets through GoFan.com. Tickets are $15.00 each, and all fans must wear a mask when entering the facility.
If you can’t make the trip to Columbus, all games will be available on the NFHS Network by clicking HERE. Games can also be heard on News Talk Radio WVOP (970 AM & 105.3 FM) with Lynn Moore providing the play-by-play. (Courtesy of VHS)
