Chinas Benito

Mr. Benito Dominguez Chinas, age 48, of Hazlehurst, passed away on Friday evening, October 15, 2021, at Meadows Regional Hospital following his battle with COVID-19.

He was born on July 10, 1973, in Veracruz, Mexico to Nicolas Dominguez Rodriguez and Jeronima Chinas Tinoco. Benito owned his own business in the roofing industry and was well known for his craftsmanship, dedication, and hard work.  Those who knew him described him best as the hardest working man they knew. Benito loved his family.  His four children were everything in life to him, and when his grandchildren came along that love grew even greater for them. Those who knew him say that to know him was to love him, and he will be greatly missed by his family friends and community. Benito was Catholic by faith and attended the San Pablo/ San Pedro Catholic Church. 

He was preceded in death by one sister, Julia Dominguez, and his Paternal grandmother, and Maternal Grandfather.

Those left to cherish his memory are: his wife of 17 years Regina Minton; four children, Julio Cesar Dominguez Perez of Hazlehurst, Dulce Maria Dominguez Perez of Mexico, (their mother Camela Perez), Chance White of Hazlehurst, and Cherity Minton of Hazlehurst; his parents, Nicolas Dominguez Rodriguez, and Jeronima Chinas Tinoco; three brothers, Aristeo Dominguez Chinas (Olivia Canela Soto),Nicolas Dominguez Chinas (Edith Navarrete Herrera),and Gasper Dominguez Soto; two sisters, Dominga Dominguez Chinas (Miguel Deseano Cruz), Genis Del Carmen Dominguez Chinas; two brother in laws, Stacy (Gina) Adams Sr., and  Johnny Minton Jr; six sister in laws, Selena (David) Spivey, Shonda Yawn, Shannon Creamer, Jessica (Dusty) Villalba, Ashley Adams, and Amanda  (Mathew) Taylor; his Paternal grandfather Julio Dominguez Mendoza, and his maternal grandmother, Grafira Tinoco Soto. Eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

The family received friends on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 1:00pm until 3:45pm at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Hazlehurst. A funeral mass followed at 4:00pm in the church sanctuary with Father Rafael Estrada officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Mexico.
