Constance Louise “Connie” Moye, age 67, longtime companion to John Sammons, of Soperton passed away on Wednesday evening at their home.
Born in Lyons, GA she was one of four children born to the late Harold Eugene Johnson and Mildred Phillips Johnson. She lived in the mid west until settling back in Georgia in the early 1990s. She worked for many years in the Healthcare Industry; as a Certified Nursing Assistant and the “Go To” person for anything that needed fixing. Her children recall her working at a nursing home in Iowa before settling in Georgia and working at Scott Health and Rehabilitation Center in Scott for approximately twenty five years until retiring in late 2020.
She enjoyed simple things; fishing, cutting grass and time spent at home.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Ann Willis of Soperton, a brother, John Johnson of Adrian and her beloved pet dog, Flossie.
Connie leaves behind her companion for twenty eight years, John Sammons, Soperton, GA, her three children, Melinda Poole (Andy), Scott, GA, Lisa Hutchinson, Cleveland, OK, Jason Fleming (April), Dublin, GA, her brother, Buddy, Brunswick, GA, eleven grandchildren eight great grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews,
Funeral services will be held from the graveside in Mt. Olive Cemetery in the Norristown Community.
