Wayne Mincey

Mr. Wayne Mincey, age 76, of the Rackettown Community, died Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness.  He was a native of Manchester, Tennessee, as a child moved to Belgrade, Florida where he lived until moving to Rackettown in 1981.  He started his welding career in 1962 and retired in 2017.  He enjoyed fishing and racing on dirt tracks.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Box Usher; father, Vernon Mincey; and three siblings, Watson Mincey, Vera Mincey Marshall, and James Mincey.

His family includes one daughter, Melissa Carnes of Rackettown; two grandchildren, Justin White of Jacksonville, Florida, and Dylan Ennis of Rackettown; one great-granddaughter, Hayden Ennis; and numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.                                                                                       

A memorial service will be held later at Lotts Creek Church of God.   

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sweet Onion Animal Protection Society, PO Box 210, Vidalia, GA 30475.
