Mr. Bob Steransky, age 73, of Blue Ridge Community, died Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Memorial Health in Savannah after a brief battle with Covid.  He was a native of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and lived there until moving to Tampa, Florida in the early 1970s.  He worked with Florida Steel for twenty-one years until moving to Blue Ridge Community in 1992 where he founded “Mr. Bob’s Painting and Carpentry”.  He attended East Gordon Street Baptist Church; and he enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, and woodworking.  He is preceded in death by his parents, John Steransky and Mary Reback Steransky.

His family includes his wife, Kathy Jarriel Steransky of Blue Ridge Community; two daughters, Tammy Dee Steransky Brusie and husband Howard of Woodstock and Nikki Lynn Steransky Mingledorff and husband Brian of Acworth; four brothers, Jack Steransky and wife Paula of Louisiana, Mike Steransky and wife Deb of Muncy, Pennsylvania, Ronnie Steransky of Ocala, Florida, and Eugene Steransky and wife Michelle of Inkerman, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Ryan and Andrew Brusie.

The funeral service will be Thursday, September 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at East Gordon Street Baptist Church with Pastor Bruce Conner and Pastor Irvin Murphy officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until just prior to the service.
