Mr. Neftali Pagan-Rodriguez, age 84 of Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 17, 2021, at Community Hospice after an brief illness.

Mr. Neftali was born on May 19, 1937, in Puerto Rico, to the late Cecilio Pagan and Inocencia Rodriguez. He had served in the United States Army in the Panama Canal Zone, and later in life retired from the Hospitality Industry.  Mr. Neftali attended Guayanilla High School and went on to graduate from the New York School Of Commerce, then returned to Puerto Rico, where he then completed a graduate program in the Hotel and Restaurant Industry.  Mr. Neftali did what we now call the exchange program in high school in New Pork with his aunt where he took his cousins to school before he went to school and picked them up so that he could pursue his passion to learn the English language.

Mr Neftali, is preceeded in death by both parents and one daughter, Mayra E. Pagan-Echvarria.

He is survived by two sons, Neftali Jr, and Luis M. Pagan-Echevarria; three daughters, Miraida J., Glenda E., and Graciela E. Pagan-Echevarria; one brother, Guillermo Pagan; and three sisters, Ramona Pagan, Brunilda Pagan, and Carmen E. Pagan.  Seven grandchildren, Astrid M., and Sabrina Pagan, Michael N. Pagan, William J. and Julian J. Soto, and Daniel E. and Jasiel Y. Adorna also survive.

The family will receive friends on Saturday September 25, 2021, starting at 2:00 PM until time of service at Roberts – Stewart Funeral Home of Vidalia.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 4:00 PM in the Vidalia Chapel of Roberts-Stewart Funeral Home.

Interment arrangements will be made at a later date.
