Angela Henry Sapp, age 71 of Vidalia passed away on Wednesday evening, September 8, 2021 at Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.
Born in Swainsboro, she was the only daughter of four children born to the late Gerald Mayo Henry and Annette Sarah Holton Henry Phillips. She grew up in Soperton and was a 1968 graduate of Treutlen County High School. After high school she attended Ogeechee Technical College where she earned her certification in Cosmetology. She worked in Swainsboro as a Cosmetologist for approximately twenty years before working with ITHICA and Oxford Manufacturing, in Swainsboro and Vidalia, until retiring in 2020.
Angela lived most of her life in the Toombs County / Vidalia area.
She enjoyed time spent with family, cooking, crafting, crocheting and spoiling her grandchildren.
She was a member at Boiling Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step father, Charles ‘Charlie” Phillips and two brothers, infant Matthew Jason Henry and Gerald M. Henry.
She leaves behind, her daughter, Stephanie Shiver (Chris), Vidalia, GA, her son, Sonny Sapp (Nikki), Vidalia, GA, a brother, Jeff Henry, Soperton, GA, grandchildren, Cealy Shiver, Chandler Shiver, Caden Sapp, Tucker Sapp, Zach Hayes and Mariah Bell, a great grandchild, Azlyn Ferguson, nieces, Holly Peacock, Heidi Collins, great nieces, Amelia Peacock, Addy Collins and a great nephew, Ches Collins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Boiling Springs Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Conway Jones officiating.
Angela will be laid to rest in Boiling Springs Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends on Saturday, at the church, from 10:00 am until the hour of service.
Her family requests that attendees respect and adhere to COVID spread prevention practices by social distancing and the wearing of masks.
