Ms. Jennifer Joyner, age 49 of Soperton, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Meadows Regional Medical Center, Vidalia following her battle with COVID.
She was born on March 6, 1972 in Dublin, GA to James Elton Joyner and Kathy Ward Joyner. She was a veteran LPN of 26 years, a true example of servanthood, she lovingly cared for the elderly and their families. In addition, she was a proud supporter of the United States Military, and loved her country. If they didn’t make her mad, she was a huge Georgia Bulldog fan. She loved to read and watch Hallmark movies in her spare time. She is greatly loved and is already missed. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Felton and Myrtle Joyner; and her maternal grandfather, Thomas Ward.
Ms. Joyner is survived by her parents, James Elton “Jimmy” Joyner and Kathy Ward Joyner; her step-father, John Fulford; her step-mother, Diana Spivey; her two daughters, Alexandria (Joyner) Herrin and her husband, David, and Caitlin Kitchens; her four grandchildren, Noah Herrin, Bryson Benton, Ty Benton, and Ashalun Benton.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Roberts – Stewart Funeral Home, Vidalia Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm following visitation at Roberts – Stewart Funeral Home Chapel of Vidalia with Rev. Lamar Lee to officiate. Special music will be provided by Javan Anderson. Graveside service and interment will follow at Mount Moriah Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: David Herrin, Justin Aaron, Bryson Benton, Ty Benton, Jeffrey Thigpin, and Kobe Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be: Barbara Hutchinson, Laura Greene, Terri Page, and Sarah Moseley.
