July 15--The Montgomery County Eagles are ranked 15th in the preseason wrestling rankings in Class A.
Eagle Wrestlers that are ranked preseason in their weight class:.
120- Dreshun Patterson 13th
138- Brandon Denmark 4th
145- Rome Thornton 6th
182- Jacob Carpenter 3rd
195- Ethan Price 13th
This group of guys represented Montgomery well at the University of West Georgia. Penn State came down to run a four day camp and they brought in some of the greats. The guys got to learn from a wrestling legend Cael Sanderson who was a 4 time undefeated national champ in college and went on to win an Olympic gold medal. They also learned technique from another multiple time national champion Bo Nickal, and a freshman national champion Carter Starocci.
"We have had a good turnout this summer and the guys have been working hard. We have attended summer camps and have been able to get some important mat time in. I am looking forward to see what the kids can do this upcoming season." Coach Will Adams said
