It took less than an hour for the final votes to be tallied in the Treutlen County election for Judge of Magistrate/Probate Court. The successful candidate was Tiffany Wyatt McLendon with 772 votes to Jeremy B. Johnson's 500 votes.
"I have big shoes to fill coming in behind Mr. Hudson," McLendon said. "But I want to serve the people of Treutlen County the best that I can. I will have an open door policy and I will be there to help them in anyway I can."
McLendon enters the office with a background for the position having served some 19 years in the Montgomery County Courthouse with Montgomery County Probate Judge Rubie Nell Sanders.
