January 26—After being off for over a week the Vidalia High School Basketball teams swept the Bacon County Red Raiders at home Monday night. The Lady Indians defeated the Lady Red Raiders 55-33 with the Indians winning in overtime 47-42.

The Lady Indians fell behind early but came back in the first quarter and controlled the game until the end. Senior Chineya Edwards led the way in scoring with 11 points. The Lady Indians improve to 7-7 overall and 3-3 in region play.

The Indians trailed 18-11 at the end of the first quarter, 23-20 at the half and tied the game 30-30 at the end of the third period. The teams were tied at 39-39 at the end of regulation. The Indians outscored the Red Raiders 8-3 in the overtime period to get the region win.  The Indians were led in scoring by Ty Dalley with 23 points.
