January 11- The Vidalia High School Lady Indians Competition Cheerleaders finished in first place at the 20th Annual Sweet Onion Cheer Classic Saturday at the Parsons-Reid Gymnasium. The defending AA State Champions competed against five other AA teams to win their fourth Sweet Onion Championship in the last five years.

“I am very proud of the team and how they have stayed focused this season despite all of the distractions. The girls realize that the situation that we are in because of COVID is a day to day thing. We don’t know if we will be able to compete or even practice from one day to the next. So they take nothing for granted and are truly grateful for the opportunity to compete.” Coach Ann Michele Toole said.
