December 2—The Vidalia Indians basketball teams split with the AAA Tattnall County Battle Creek Warriors Tuesday night at home. The Lady Indians fell to Tattnall 58-29 with the Indians winning the 78-70.
The Lady Indians took the early lead 10-7 at the end of the first quarter. Tattnall County took over the game in the second and led 28-21 at the half. Vidalia only score 8 points total in the second half. The Lady Indians are 1-2 for the season.
Vidalia led in the boy’s game 19-15 after the first and 40-27 at halftime and 68-51 at the end of the third. The Indians had three players in double figures in scoring, Ty Dalley 36 points, Bryson Whited 12 point and Sinclair Williams added 10 points. The Indians improve to 2-1 for the young season.
Vidalia travels to Mt. Vernon this Saturday to face the Montgomery County Eagles starting at 4PM. (Pictures by Carroll Williams)
