December 2—Monday of this week Vidalia High School Lady Indian Softball standout Ashtyn Braddy signed a letter of intent for a scholarship to play at the next level at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton. Braddy had a career batting average of .428 and was the 2019 Region 2AA Player of the Year She earned All-State Honors in 2019 & 2020 and was named to the Georgia Dugout Club All-Star Team and Region 2AA First Team.

“ABAC is a good school and I know a lot of the girls that are going there that are going to be my teammates. I am thankful for my family and coaches who have always pushed me to be better.” Braddy said.

“Ashtyn came in and did exactly what she needed to do to be a part of our team, the girls accepted her because of her hard work. She did something a lot of kids won’t do and that is to sacrifice a year of her varsity eligibility and play junior varsity. We were lucky to have her and she was a great player for us, ABAC is getting a five star player.” VHS Lady Indians Head Coach Brad Thompson said.

ABAC Head Coach Mike Reed, “The first time I saw her play what really jumped off the page to me was her speed. I have recruited her for about a year and got to know her. She is also a great young lady off the field as well as her athletic ability and she really fit our culture and checked all the boxes. We look forward to having Ashtyn being a part of our family at ABAC”
