The Treutlen Vikings traveled to Rochelle, Ga to face the Wilcox County Patriots in their final game of the 2020 season and fell on the road to the Patriots 56-14.
Wilcox County wasted no time, scoring on their second play from scrimmage to take a 6 – 0 on a long touchdown run. The two point conversion was no good and the Patriots led 6-0. The Vikings answered on a Quentez Jordan to Jarvis Williams touchdown pass with 7:49 left in the first quarter. The PAT was good and the Vikings led 7 – 6.
Wilcox County began to take control of the contest answering the score in less than a minute on a long touchdown pass to Jashon Cooley to take a 12-7 lead with 6:50 left in the first quarter. The Patriots extended their lead with two more touchdown runs, a touchdown pass, and a scoop and score on a bad punt snap to take a 42-7 lead into halftime.
The Patriots added another touchdown on a two yard run with 3:58 left in the third quarter to extend the lead to 49 – 7. The Vikings managed to get on the board once more with 10:15 left in the game when Quentez Jordan hit Tim Blair on a 55 yard touchdown pass. Danny Clements hit the PAT to make the score 49 – 14. Wilcox added another late score to make the final 56-14.
