A Montgomery County woman was hurt as a result of what is believed to be pit bull dogs attack over the weekend.

According to Montgomery County Sheriff Doug Maybin, deputies responded to a residence on Conaway-McDonald Road about several dogs that attacked the woman. Sheriff Maybin said EMS was called, but the female refused medical treatment.

The owners of the dogs have been located and said they had not known the dogs to be aggressive like that in the past and Sheriff Maybin confirmed there have been no other law enforcement reports in the Sheriff’s Office regarding the dogs. However, the owners did tell deputies that they would get rid of the dogs to prevent any further incidents.
