Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home announces the death Mr. Donald Maurice Boyer age 63 of Mount Vernon, GA. Donnie was born in Montgomery County, Georgia on May 25, 1957 to the parentage of the late Cotis Boyer and Bessie Bell Boyer. He departed this life on October 31, 2020 at the Meadows Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Donnie attended the Montgomery County School System. He was a Baptist by faith and he faithfully attended College Hill Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon, GA.
Donnie was a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Brewton Parker Barons. Donnie had a love for people. Everyone he met was his “cuz”. He didn’t mind sharing his soul music with anyone he met.
He leaves to cherish his memories: faithful guardians, Mr. and Mrs. Willie and Jessie Collins of Mt. Vernon, GA; one brother, Earl Bell, RN (RT) of Ailey, GA; one sister, Michelle Boyer of Vidalia, GA; two nephews, Bakari Woods and Kameron Wideman; one great niece, Arleigh Woods; the caring staff of the Soperton Male Home; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Public Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020 from 2 PM until 6 PM at Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home in Vidalia, GA.
Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 11AM from Live Oak Church Cemetery in Ailey, GA. Bishop Vincent R. Drummer will deliver the eulogy.
