October 21—The RTCA Crusaders fell to the Edmund Burke Academy Spartans at home Tuesday night 47-12.
The Spartans got on the board early in the game scoring on their first two offensive possessions, on a 31-yard run at 11:07 and a 4-yard run with 5:48 left in the first quarter to lead 14-0.
Edmund Burke would score five more times in the second quarter.including on two pick six interceptions by Crusaders Quarterback Rob Moore.
The Crusaders finally got on the scoreboard on a long 56- yard run by freshman RB Hunter Ennis with 4:28 left in the first half. The Spartans went into halftime leading 47-6.
Tucker Heath ran the ball into the end zone for RTCA from 32-yards out with 8:32 in the third period for the only scoring in the game in the second half.
RTCA falls to 0-6 for the season and Edmund Burke Academy improves to 3-3.
