September 28-- Krista Cantwell didn't allow a single run against Bacon County throwing a complete game shutout and leading the Toombs County Lady Bulldogs to an 8-0 victory on Saturday in Lyons.
Toombs County put up two runs in the second, three runs in the fourth and three runs in the fifth inning. KK Mobley and Arlie Gooden each had RBIs in the fifth inning.
Cantwell lasted five innings and allowed just three hits in the shutout win.
Rilyn Fitzgerald had a dinger in the fourth inning and it was the first homer at the new sports complex.
The Lady Bulldogs racked up eight hits in the game and Gooden went 3-for-3 at the plate.
Toombs County improves to 9-9 overall and 4-5 in the region and will travel to Alma Tuesday for another game with Bacon County at 5:45.
