Mr. Johnny Floyd Brown, age 82, of Lyons, died Thursday afternoon, September 17, 2020 at his residence after an extended illness. Johnny was a native of Savannah GA, lived in California for several years and was owner and operator of his own company, Power Ten in Santa Clara, California. He was an Electronic Engineer. Johnny was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in Vietnam. He was Baptist by Faith.


He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Jessie Brown; and one brother, James Brown Jr.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Suzette Brown of Lyons; two step-sons, Lucky (Shelby) Kicklighter, and Luke (Kimberly) Kicklighter, both of Soperton; one daughter, Teresa (James) Knowles of St. Mary’s; one brother, Alvin Brown (Cindy) of Savannah; one sister-in-law, Gwen Brown; and four step-daughters, Debbie Bartosowcz, Kari Crawford, Caroline Harmon, and Monique Phillips, all of California. Seven grandchildren, Nicole, Georgia, Haleigh, Logan, Landon, Emily, and Dylan also survive.

The family will have a Memorial Service at a later date.


Toombs County Funeral Home of Lyons is in charge of arrangements.
