Vidalia High School has issued the following press release.

In an effort to help give teachers more time to contact virtual students and review for unit tests next week, Friday’s (September 18th) instruction for Vidalia High School will be entirely virtual. Vidalia High School Students will not report to the school, and all students will work at home virtually. “Our goal is to provide as much face to face instruction as possible,” said Principal John Sharpe.

“This year has been challenging for our teachers. They are teaching face to face students, and at the same time, have to prepare for students receiving virtual instruction.” Sharpe added. “It has doubled their workload. They are also dealing with many students who move from in class to virtual due to students being quarantined. We have many students receiving virtual instruction falling behind because they are failing to sign in on their virtual platform daily.”

“Our staff is very appreciative of the virtual day and is committed to providing an opportunity for students to learn during this difficult time.”

This affects Vidalia High School Students only! All other schools will operate on a regular schedule.
