After seven days of a self-imposed hiatus of any football activity, the Vidalia Indians hit the practice field on Tuesday, as they continue to get ready for what is now the season opener against E.C.I. The Indians had suspended practice on August 31st, following notification that some members of the program had tested positive for COVID-19

The time off resulted in the canceling of this week's opening game against Appling County as the Indians will have to go through "re-acclimation" per the GHSA. "We did what we felt was necessary for our kids and staff's safety," said Indian Head Coach Jason Cameron. "Now, we are excited to be able to get back with the kids, and get back to some sort of normalcy as we continue to prepare for game one!" Cameron added.

The Indians will now open the 2020 season on the road on September 18th in Twin City against E.C.I. with kickoff set for 7:30. (Photos By  Mike Branch) (Courtesy of Vidalia High School)
