August 7—The 15th Annual Paul Anderson Youth Home Bike Ride was held this year and was another big success. All twelve boys at the home participated in this year’s five day ride. The riders pedaled 332 miles, averaging just over 66 miles per day. As of now the 2020 Bike Ride has raised almost $145,000.

“This year was a little different because we took all of the guys and we used one location as a hub rather than going place to place every night and packing up our stuff and having to unload which can get extremely stressful. We took an 82- mile trip to Bethesda Academy in Savannah and stayed there and made trips to Jekyll Island, Tybee Island and Millen. We consider the ride a success in helping raise funds to help young men get a second chance in life and we are very proud of what we have done.” Stephen Nichols of the Paul Anderson Youth said.

One of the riders this year was Yovani “I had a great time getting the opportunity to go on the ride this year. The things that I took away from the rise was that the world does need better people in it and we need men of high character. I am feeling much better about myself actually knowing that when I set challenges that I can complete them.”(Picture Courtesy of Paul Anderson Youth Home)
