August 6—The Toombs County Bulldogs Cross Country team continues working hard this summer with running and conditioning preparing for the upcoming season.
“We have been trying to get the kids out this summer and the participation from the team has been good. We have had a really good turnout with our girls with a lot of them showing up for workouts on Monday evenings. With Pre-Planning starting for the teachers this week we have been working out in the mornings and the turnout has been good including the boys.” Coach Jeremy Moore said.
“I am always looking for more students to come out and join the team. If some of our athletes aren't playing football or one of the other fall sports. It is a great way to condition and stay in shape for other sports We are getting started early this year with our first meet in Vidalia on August 22nd. I am praying everything continues to hold together and the COVID cases don’t jump up and we are able to have a season.”Moore stated.
