Aug. 4-- Mr. Dewayne Moseley, age 63 of Lyons, died Monday, August 3, 2020, at his home after an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident of Lyons, was a heavy equipment operator for McLendon Enterprises and Ed Herndon, and he also logged with George Cobb. He attended Aimwell Calvary Holiness Church in Vidalia, and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Eileen Moseley; parents, Kenneth Moseley and Evelyn Edwards Moseley; an infant sister, Donna Lynn Moseley; a sister-in-law, Dianne Moseley; and a brother-in-law, W.L. Beasley.
Mr. Moseley is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Polly Cauley Moseley; two sisters, Annie Ruth Beasley of Lyons, and Delilah Lariscey and husband Eric of Oak Park; one brother, Donnie Moseley of Lyons; two brothers-in-law, Billy Cauley and wife Sharon of Brooklet, and Arthur Mason and wife Judy of Lyons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 5th, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Brother Andrew Bellah officiating. Burial will follow in the Lyons City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
