ReyesLillianPicCROPPEDMrs. Lillian DeFrayne Reyes, age 85 of Soperton passed away on Thursday evening, July 23, 2020 at the Serenity House in Dublin, Georgia.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, she was the youngest and last living of four children born to the late Richard C. and Ora Vivian Smith DeFrayne.  She grew up in and completed high school in Detroit prior to moving to the Hialeah area of South Florida in the mid1950s.  She attended college at Miami Dade University where she earned her Associate Degree before attending the Florida State University; majoring in Psychology.  While living in Florida, she worked for Florida Power and Light until retiring in the mid 1990s.  In 1995 she moved to Helen, Georgia where she lived until moving to Soperton in 2000.  Always active and young of heart; she most recently served as the Activities Director at Treutlen County Health and Rehab until reaching the age of eighty three.   Mrs. Reyes enjoyed plants, reading, crossword puzzles, knitting and the friendly bantering associated with interfamily discussions.

She had attended Trinity First Assembly of God in Soperton.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Joseph Reyes, who passed away in 2005 and her siblings, Carmen Money, Richard DeFrayne and Garry Defrayne.

Mrs. Reyes leaves behind, her children, Cindy Reyes, Soperton, GA, Gary Reyes (Judy Yun Yip-Reyes). Show Low, AZ,  six grandchildren, Ranaka Lanford (Jim Ed), Soperton, GA, Christy Landers (Dewayne Cummings), Dublin, GA, Charles Landers (Stephanie), Atlanta, GA, Joshua Christopher Devraj Reyes, Tucson, AZ, Anna-Keren Gnanamoni Aranda, Phoenix, AZ, Elizabeth Sandra Vathamoney Reyes, Tucson, AZ, nine great grandchildren, Austin Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Jordan Cummings, J. D. Lanford, Cortney Lanford, Bella Lanford, Saria Ashlyn Gnanamoni Aranda, Olivia Skye Lillian Aranda, Emilia Grace Natcattira Aranda and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the Trinity Assembly of God in Soperton, with Reverend Larry Hammond officiating.

Mrs. Reyes will be laid to rest in Helen, Georgia.
