The Georgia High School Association Board of Trustees voted today to push back the start of the high school football season by two weeks. The vote was unanimous to kick off the 2020 season on September 4th. It also keeps the regular season at the normal 10 games and a full playoff schedule. Scrimmage games will now be held on August 21st and 28th. Practice is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 27th and teams can put on full pads beginning on August 1st.
The seasons for softball, cross country, volleyball, and flag football will start as normal.
