Mount Vernon, GA – Brewton-Parker College welcomes Harvey Simpson to the Baron's Athletic Department as the Associate Head Coach for Track & Field.  With 19 years of experience, Simpson brings a wealth of knowledge to Brewton-Parker College covering Middle School Track and Field through the Collegiate Level.  When asked about the opportunity to coach at Brewton-Parker College, Simpson said "It is a blessing and privilege to join the Brewton Parker Baron family as the Associate Head Coach for Track & Field. I have worked tremendously hard up to this point for this opportunity given to me by President Steve Echols, VP Chris Dooley, AD Frankie Ruiz, and especially Director of Track and Field Operations Adam Cokonougher whom I worked with as an assistant coach at Cincinnati Christian University in 2019. I chose Brewton Parker not only because of its Christian values shared, but also its track & field program potential. All of my past student/amateur athletes have experienced elite status in the sport of track & field from the scholastic club level, collegiate conference and national competitions to USATF Masters Championships through my training, education, and mentorship that I will bring to BPC. During my tenure outside of training track & field athletes, I aided in student athlete education increasing academic progress, organizing and managing day to day operations with the team's athletic trainers, treatment, equipment and apparel, community initiatives as well as overseeing budget expansion, purchasing, inventory, and upkeep of track & field, sports equipment and apparel. My goal at Brewton Parker College is to challenge in the classroom as well as on the track and field giving my student-athletes vast opportunities to be successful in life, all Americans status, and potential National Champions. I worked with Harvey at Cincinnati Christian University and I'm excited to be reunited with him here at Brewton-Parker College.
